* The Secretariat ERP system (Umoja) will only be able to implement the new set of dependency allowances (i.e. the dependent spouse, the single parent and the transitional allowances) as of 1 September 2017. In order to avoid any negative impact on staff members who are eligible to receive any of these allowances, an interim Payroll Adjustment equivalent to the amount of these allowances (i.e. 6% of the net base salary plus post adjustment) will be paid as part of the monthly payroll from 1 January to 31 August 2017 to eligible staff members. In September 2017, upon implementation in the ERP system of these three allowances, there will be an automatic recalculation of staff members’ monthly payroll and minor adjustments related to the medical , dental and life insurance contribution amounts will be made as necessary. Staff members will be informed of any additional payment or recovery as applicable.
