Estimations of Salary, Allowances and Benefits

The estimates calculator helps United Nations staff members understand changes to the salary and benefits under the new compensation package for internationally-recruited staff in the Professional and higher and the Field Service categories that was approved in December 2015 by the General Assembly resolution (A/RES/70/244).
The salaries and related allowances of staff members are established in accordance with the Staff Rules and Regulations of the United Nations (ST/SGB/2016/1). The estimates calculator cannot determine if a staff member is eligible for any allowance or benefit.
The implementation of changes to the compensation package for internationally-recruited staff in the Professional and higher and the Field Service categories takes place in three phases: 1 July 2016, 1 January 2017 and 1 January 2018. Click here to view the details of each phase.
